I hope you are ok and recovering from any bugs in the atmosphere.Sorry if we are a bit late in keeping you posted. We were waiting for the final results to come out.
Last weekend the team was decimated due to sickness within the squad. Some riders were expected to ride in Ludgershall, but they did not travel. Therefore, the only 2 riders for the weekend were the cat 3 debut Ben and Michael the Cat 2 veteran at the Imperial Winter Series. They were racing together for the first time.
They played a great team work, Ben was enjoying the race like a kid with new toys.He was confident, secure and pushing the peloton.Michael was there with him. I was watching the race E/1/2/3, and analysing some riders techniques & riding styles.
Are you waiting for the race results? Michael was in a good position in the top 10 max before he got sent off to Hillingdon's grassland, while Ben was finishing his race in the top 25,18th on his cat.
Well done to both of them.
Ben, also race in Cyclocross on sunday morning in the Central Cyclo Cross League. As usual CX it is a dirty @ muddy job.Someone has to do it.And Ben is the ideal candidate for it.Replacing his week day suit to CX skin suit . One extreme to the other, but he loves. That is what cycling gives you. A close relationship with nature.
Ben had a great result finishing 21st in the Senior Race, from the photo you can see he had good time during the race, and probably had a better fun in after the race in cleaning the bike at some £ 5 car wash.
Very well done to both riders to let SD team colours flashing around races.
See you soon.
SD Racing Team.
