The last time that I wrote to you all SaddleDrunkers, I was in Japan.
I know I should have kept you updated on everything, but please accept my apologies.
At @SaddleDrunk we have been really busy getting a few things sorted. Like designing & manufacturing more clothing and accessories, which have been ordered and will be arriving the beginning of next week. A few unexpected projects have come our way, which is excellent and exciting. Also the most important was getting flight tickets, a visa, accommodation for myself to attend a couple of events in China.
At the moment I am 33000ft up in the sky and I have slept nearly all 10 hours of the flight to Chengdu, China . We should be landing in less than 52 minutes, as I write. I will be joining a few other riders/friends from New Zealand, American and Britian to form a team to wear the CCN Cycling Team colors. We will be taking part at the Tour of Chengdu, a 70km road race held in the GP2 Circuit Track tomorrow morning.
Today, I will be arriving at the hotel and shall be meeting up with the others riders so I can acclimatize to the local conditions such warm temperature and some altitude.
Tomorrow after the race has finished and getting all the prizes, if we do get a result, we will dismount our bikes again and depart to Fuzhou, a 2 hour flight.
We will then be picked for a 100 mile transfer to taken up to Ping Tan Island to take part in the 2014 Ocean Cup Race held on the island, this will be a 60km town road race.
Internet access will be restricted in some respect , therefore please accept my apologies for any delays with regards to updates.
Thanks again for following SaddleDrunk.
